Legal & Technical Formalities

Complete the required booking and entry formalities before your Jeep Safari visit to Jim Corbett National Park.

Information Required For Advance Booking

  • Full name, age, and gender of each visitor exactly as mentioned on ID proof
  • Preferred travel date and safari slot (Morning / Afternoon)
  • Valid government ID number such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Driving Licence
  • Safari entry fee must be paid in advance
  • E-permits are non-refundable once issued
  • Carry the same ID card used during online booking
  • Indian nationals should book at least 30 days in advance
  • Foreign nationals can book up to 90 days in advance
  • Passport details are mandatory for foreign tourists
  • Safari permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis

Terms & Conditions

  • Limited safari vehicles are allowed in every zone as per carrying capacity
  • Sonanadi permits are issued from Visitor Reception Center, Kotdwar
  • All other safari permits can be booked online
  • Visitors should reach the gate before reporting time
  • Private vehicles are not allowed inside tourism zones
  • Dhikala day visits are available only via Canter Safari
  • Elephant rides are available on first-come, first-served basis
  • Canteen facilities are available at selected safari zones
Entry Formalities

Forest Department Verification Process

The forest department follows strict verification procedures because Jim Corbett is a protected wildlife reserve. Officials carefully check all visitor details before granting entry into safari zones.

Visitors are required to complete all mandatory formalities at entry gates, parking areas, hotels, and forest rest houses. Authorities reserve the right to enforce all rules and regulations for visitor safety and smooth wildlife operations.
